So much for that request. I guess Fake does not want GirlNation to be a site where people can discuss ways of reducing the number of rapes.

Apparently the women of Minnesota have a very different opinion about the topic of rape. My very liberal pro-choice federal representative issued the following statement. “Planned Parenthood understands that Minnesotans evaluate our political candidates based on their record, values and character. It is appalling that anyone could characterize rape, a violent and horrible crime, as a joke.”

Regarding your post: yes your description of the main point of what I was trying to express was highly accurate. The way you stated the second point was actually probably better than the words I used.

However, I do not think that juries should be given the flexibility of finding that a woman was not raped even though 1) sex occurred and 2) no verifiable consent was secured. Also, I think that marriage need not be the only way- or even a way at all- for verifiable consent to be indicated. Or marriage could indicate consent in some situation but not others.

I just want to clarify something. When I requested the forum, I did not mean to imply that the forum would somehow be "mine." I just wanted GirlNation to have such a forum. I am not sure whether anyone inferred otherwise.

I really think if you explained why you wanted such a forum to be on GN, it would have averted the horror with with the suggestion was greeted.
